Pink Laptops The Trend-Setter’s New Black

Computer companies now recognize ‘Pink Chic’ as in vogue, and pink laptops are fast becoming the hottest power color within today’s corporate environment. Fashion-conscious women are no longer tied to the default black or gray laptops of the past, and trend-setting young men are discovering the unique identity that pink has in the workplace. Popular electronics companies realize that making a fashion statement, and standing out from the crowd plays a major role in the decisions consumers make when purchasing laptops today. Both Sony and Dell have played a significant role in popularizing pink in the laptop market by offering proceeds of their pink laptop sales to the support of the fight against breast cancer.

Dell’s new ‘Promise Pink’ laptops introduced in February 2009 are set to take-over their original Flamingo pink in popularity. The Promise Pink laptops all have mobile broadband, and are currently available in the Inspiron Netbooks: Mini 9 & 12 offering high mobility without loss of function, the slim Inspiron 1525 offering complete wireless solutions for the person on the move, the sleek XPS M1330 & M1530 designed for consumers looking for more media friendly performance and power, and the robust, yet light-weight magnesium alloy Latitude E4200 designed with the business traveler in mind.

Sony produces laptops that are considered to be excellent machines of high quality and durability, and their popular, sexy VAIO range offers its buyers pink, with models available from the more basic NS with a Sunset Pink textured chassis, and the CS in Glossy Pink. Both models come with an Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor, built-in camera/microphone, LCD technology, and genuine Windows Vista Home Premium. The CS model has the added advantage of Blu-ray Disc playback and Bluetooth technology, while the NS model has a CD/DVD burner. The SR model can be configured to order, and comes in Glossy Pink like its CS counterpart.

The pink laptop of Asus, a lesser-known company from Taiwan, comes in a variety of pink shades, and sports most premium surface finishes, and boasts the entire Microsoft office package. This brand is available with a 8GB, 4GB or 2GB hard drive, and a Linux based operating system pre-installed. The laptop also includes an Ethernet slot and Wi-Fi for Internet connection, memory card slot of SD/MMC and three USB 2.0 Card slots, and offers the buyer the best value for money.

So even the most discerning customer shopping for a pink laptop should be able to find the size, power, and capabilities they are looking for to meet the needs and demands of both work and play.
